Built and operated end-to-end through to ZikiMall's acquisition by CBZ Holdings ZikiMall is a comprehensive e-commerce platform designed to serve as Zimbabwe's digital mall, connecting customers with merchants across various categories.
Motapa Africa needed a robust multi-vendor e-commerce platform that could handle various transaction types, from product sales to bill payments, while accommodating Zimbabwe's unique payment ecosystem.
As the sole technical partner, we handled all software development and DevOps: a multi-vendor marketplace, integrated payment processing for mobile money providers and billers, a dedicated services platform, and the cloud infrastructure behind it. We then operated and maintained the platform for over a year, scaling it as transaction volumes grew.
ZikiMall processed thousands of transactions monthly, handling thousands of dollars in transaction value, and was ultimately acquired by CBZ Holdings. Lioncap Ventures managed the technical handover, including documentation, knowledge transfer, and infrastructure migration, with zero downtime for users and merchants.
