Zimbabwe's premier online mall, built for ZB Financial Holdings: shop verified local merchants and pay for everything, from ZESA and airtime to school fees and insurance, in one place. Built and operated end to end for ZB Financial Holdings: a multi-vendor marketplace and all-in-one payments hub on web, mobile, and WhatsApp.
Zimbabweans juggle separate apps and queues for shopping, utilities, airtime, school fees, insurance, and banking. ZB wanted one trusted platform, backed by the bank, where customers shop from verified merchants and settle everyday payments in a single place.
Lioncap built the full platform: a multi-vendor marketplace with merchant verification and a self-service merchant portal, a services hub for bills and payments, ZB financial services surfaced in-product, and checkout across Smile Cash, EcoCash, bank transfer, card, and mobile money, with single sign-on through ZB ID and an AI shopping assistant on the shop.
The full experience is built and running ahead of public launch: shoppers get one mall for products and everyday payments, merchants get a free digital storefront with real-time analytics and fast settlement through ZB, and the platform ships trilingual in English, Shona, and Ndebele.
